Rouffignac : Let yourself be seduced by our small village with its large Sunday market, its activities and its festivals which still arouse curiosity every year in the Dordogne. Concerned about the environment, our small village is classified as a Green Station, a guarantee of quality of life and nature.

Vézère Valley : The Vézère Valley is best known for its extraordinary concentration of prehistoric sites. Fourteen of them have been classified as UNESCO world heritage sites, including the Lascaux cave, the “Sistine Chapel” of prehistory. Without forgetting that of Rouffignac: the largest decorated cave in Europe which is directly connected to the campsite by a hiking trail in the middle of the preserved nature of our valley.

Dordogne Valley : A valley known for its countless castles, it is full of the most beautiful treasures of our region with its cliffside villages such as Beynac, La-Roque-Gageac. You will discover a castle at every step! The best known of them is the Château de Castelnaud, but you can also visit the Château des Milandes, the final resting place of Joséphine Baker. Our favorite remains the village of Domme, a sumptuous hilltop village with a breathtaking view of the Dordogne valley.

Sarlat : City of Art and History, this charming medieval city of exceptional beauty is the capital of Périgord Noir. Its picturesque streets, its slate roofs, its cathedral…so many fantastic monuments to discover…and a few kilometers from La Nouvelle Croze.

Périgueux : A two-thousand-year-old city, it was a Gallo-Roman city, then a Renaissance city, leaving us with impressive buildings classified as historic monuments such as the Saint-Front cathedral or the Vésone tower and the Vésuna museum. The capital of Périgord, near the campsite, is also the largest town in the department where you can stroll through the typical medieval streets.

Canoeing : What’s better than a canoe trip to cool off with the family? La Vézère, rich in landscapes and heritage, is a few minutes from the campsite. Canoe bases in Saint-Léon sur Vézère or Les Eyzies will offer you descents at low prices, thanks to our numerous partnerships.

Hiking : The beauty of the Périgord landscapes and its numerous trails are the ideal ingredients for your hikes. Whether it is the GR36 crisscrossing the Vézère Valley, or the trails directly linking our campsite to the Rouffignac cave as well as the towns of Plazac and Fleurac. And yes! Camping La Nouvelle Croze is the crossroads of 3 magnificent nature hikes ranging from 4 to 14km to crisscross the fabulous surrounding countryside.

Tree-climbing : Just 10 minutes from the campsite, one of the most beautiful treetop adventure courses in Aquitaine will allow you to share an unforgettable moment with family or friends for a shaded walk in the century-old oaks of Périgord Noir.
